e100 Ethernet Motion Products

MotiFlex™ e100 is part of the e100 real-time Ethernet POWERLINK solution from ABB. System architecture is simplified by a single, highly configurable drive and motion control platform.

The MotiFlex e100 can operate from a wide voltage range from 180 to 528 V AC three-phase, with DC bus energy sharing capability.

The MotiFlex e100 servo drive is designed to control a wide range of motion applications from simple point-to-point motion to more complex applications. POWERLINK offers real-time control of many axes and Modbus TCP and Ethernet RAW offer a wide variety of control possibilities with PLCs, industrial PCs and other controllers.

A universal digital encoder feedback accepts incremental encoder signals, SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface), EnDat v2.1/v2.2, 1V Sin/Cos encoders. Absolute multi-turn encoders are supported, with the position transmitted over the Ethernet back to the motion controller.

MotiFlex e100 is compatible with ABB's multi-axis machine controller, NextMove e100 and range of single phase servo drives, MicroFlex e100 which operate over Ethernet POWERLINK.

• Universal encoder interface supporting: incremental encoder; synchronous serial interface (SSI); EnDat v2.1/v2.2, 1V Sin/Cos and BiSS encoders. Optional resolver interface and secondary encoder interface for dual loop control via option cards
• 4 Digital inputs. Opto-isolated 24V. Two inputs can be programmed to capture axis position within 1 microsecond
• 2 digital outputs. Opto-isolated 24V PNP. 50mA per channel
• 1 x Analogue input +/-10V 12bit can be used for drive control via plug-in feedback card to provide simulated encoder output.
• 2 x Expansion card slots for: secondary feedback, MINT programming options, fieldbus options and I/O expansion
• Auto-tuning, configuration wizards and software oscilloscope facilities via MINT WorkBench for Windows simplify drive set-up
• Notch and low pass filters to combat mechanical resonance issues
• USB port for configuration
