Baldor Announces Expansion to Brushless Servo Motor Line

C-Series BSM MotorsThe BSM C-series provides up to 50% more torque, and is packaged in a smaller size than previous models-up to 2 inches (50 mm) for some models. The BSM C-series provides the highest torque, packaged in the smallest size, available in today’s marketplace.

The C-series is now available in three frame sizes-BSM80C, BSM90C and BSM100C-providing up to 780 lb-in of peak torque and 260 lb-in (30N-M) continuous stall torque. Speeds up to 6000 rpm are standard. This series is suitable for operation with a wide variety of controls, including 115, 230 or 460 Vac. The C-series includes as standard an extra high insulation safety protection system.

Typical applications for the BSM C-series include packaging, material handling, registration, labeling, flying shears, capping, form/fill/seal and factory automation. This new series meets UL, CSA and CE standards.

Several models are available in stock for immediate delivery. The C-series servo motors are available with either resolver or encoder feedback. Short delivery times exist for custom designed units with other feedback devices such as Hall sensors, serial synchronous interface encoders and absolute position encoders..
