 Real-Time Ethernet Solutions
Our latest product offerings represent the latest in real time Ethernet solutions for multi-axis motion control applications. Utilising ETHERNET Powerlink over a 100 Mbit Ethernet physical layer, up to 16 axes can be interpolated from one motion controller. ETHERNET Powerlink also supports indexing drives, allowing up to 240 axes to be controlled from one motion controller.
Baldor's real-time Ethernet solution offers many benefits for the machine builder:
- Reduction in wiring. All position control signals are sent over standard Ethernet CAT-5e shielded cabling
- Modular and scalable system design
- Ethernet networking suitable for distributed / decenteralized design (up to 100m between each device)
- Single point for system commissioning. The entire system, including drives, can be configured via the motion controller
- Improved diagnostics. The motion controller can report back error and warning information from the drives
